Telecommuting Program Assessment Tool

SuiteCommute is pleased to announce the launch of our new Telecommuting Program Assessment Tool . If you developed your own Telecommuting program and would like to see how it measures up to other plans within other companies and industries, our new Assessment Tool will help.

Here is how it works: the Assessment Tool is comprised of 8 key factors. Each of the 8 key factors is weighted at a certain percentage. For a program to score 100%, each of the 8 key factors must be met. If there are any areas missing within your program, then the overall score would reflect a deduction for each of those missing areas. The 8 key factors to be rated are as follows:

1. Purpose of Program/Policy Statement
2. Overview
3. Eligibility
4. Policies/Guidelines/Rules of Conduct
5. Responsibilities
6. Training Requirements
7. Key Contacts
8. Forms

The ratings vary by factor based on the importance and content detail within the final program. Robust Telework plans include comprehensive detail within each of the 8 key factors. The final product is comprised of an overall score with details around any missing areas. This tool will help determine how robust your program is and overall manageability including any potential liability issues.
